Tracy E. Sivitz joined Hafetz Necheles & Rocco in 2005. She has defended clients at virtually all stages of federal criminal proceedings, including serving as co-counsel at trial in high profile white collar federal criminal trials. Ms. Sivitz has represented clients in criminal appeals, regulatory proceedings and investigations at the SEC and FINRA, and investigations conducted by the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and the United States Congress. Ms. Sivitz is a member of the New York and Washington, D.C. bars, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She is a member of the Federal Bar Council, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the New York State Bar Association.

Ms. Sivitz graduated from Yale Law School in 1988. She subsequently served as a law clerk for the Hon. John M. Ferren in the D.C. Court of Appeals. Ms. Sivitz was awarded a Skadden Public Interest Law Fellowship, and worked at the Washington Lawyers' Committee for the Civil Rights Under Law as a staff attorney. She served as trial counsel and won a public accommodation discrimination trial in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Ms. Sivitz also argued and won an appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in a case alleging disability discrimination by the Department of Health and Human Services. She has engaged in all aspects of civil discovery, including taking multiple depositions. After three years as a civil litigator, Ms. Sivitz worked two years as legislative counsel at People For the American Way in Washington, D.C., achieving special recognition by then Representative Charles Schumer for her contributions to drafting the Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act.

Ms. Sivitz received her B.A. summa cum laude from Harvard/Radcliffe College in 1983. She also holds an M.A. in East Asian Regional Studies from Harvard University (1985), and an M.A. and M.Phil in Jewish History from Yale University (2005).
